Trapping was the next thing i was going to get into. Kinda hard since I experienced my own economic collapse two years ago.

I was thinking more along the lines of live traps(aka rabbit gums),but the Sportmans Guide has some inexpensive traps that I have been thinking about. Meat, fur and reduction of the varmit population...it's a win, win, win situation.

My .02 cents, get a good mix of ammo. And go shooting!

Hi, Deckard1973 :P . How is it going? My silly computer lost power from early Monday to last night... software needed replacing. And today, only, i heard about the helicoptor and some people dying over in AFG. Are you alright? Well, just thinking about you, and hope you can make it home safe when the time is right. Things seems crazy all over the place. As for me, I have 5 days all to myself without kids and husband for the first time, i think, in about 8 years? Wow. I am enjoying the quiet time.

To keep the thread on topic, I have friends who fish and hunt. We have lots of deer around here. I have never shot at an animal. But I would like to learn how to do that. I would also like to learn how to skin, hang, cure, smoke... harvest the animal. I know how to do that with sockeye salmon, easily. It's the land animals I don't know how to properly hunt. Any how, I can learn this Fall. I am an instructor of colour. :D at a technical institute. God, but i am not good at technology. I am one of the few instructors there who don't teach technology. haha. i guess i am lucky, in some ways. Well, some day, i guess, when we are all sitting around the big campfire, i will pull out my reds, yellows, and blues, and we will mix them all together, and paint our faces and other shit, and tell some good stories :D

take care,

Still here! Still alive! No worries!
I try to stay out of CH-47s, but if that is what shows up at the HLZ, well, it is either that, or I am walking back to base! Be a long walk with all that crap on!
I like CH-53s personally.

Back to your hunting post, learning a new skill is always a good thing. Build that doomer resume!
The student asks the master,
"Master, is the glass half empty? Or half full?"
The master simply states,
"The glass is full."
