Solar System Scope

http://www.solarsystemscope.com/

I am gonna sticky this because I think it is a very helpful tool.
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.

Very nice! :D
I knew it was only a matter of time before they made a Celestia - type application on an Internet web browser!
I will be wandering the wasteland in the last of the V8 Interceptors in search of gas and food.

Now that is seriously cool. Too bad you can't see the planets' moons.

What a fantastic educational tool for my grand kids. They will eat this up.

Thanks for posting.

Re: Solar System Scope

No no no - the tool you want is THIS:

http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/eyes/

Click on 'Explore Solar System' if you want to jump right in.

You can jump to any planet, moon, space vehicle currently underway, asteroid, that you want, all in real time. You can also move forward and backward in time, accel time. and this is the BETA. Go check out Mars, I had no idea we already had two permanent satellites orbiting it!

I'm sure when it's finally released you can jump into a warp starship and fly around the solar system at your leisure as well, which is what I'm hoping for ;)
