- In the non-religious sense, a cult is something that may not have the largest number of fans, but is really, REALLY loved by the fans it does have. (Like Star Trek in the '60s. Had mediocre ratings on the network, but a dedicated fanbase that ultimately made it a monster franchise.)

- Ron Paul is the only candidate in the race that anyone actually likes. Romney is leading because the GOP voters have been told that he is "electable" (and because Karl Rove is involved :o )... They're actively looking for someone better, but the MSM is working overtime to make RP seem like a non-option. I think he's the only good shot the GOP has of beating Obama. And the only candidate who would be anything but a continuation of the Bush/Obama administration if he did win.

Re: Ron Paul for President

cool vid - really pulls at my heart strings of hope.
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.

Re: Ron Paul for President

a continuation of the Bush/Obama administration

as long as paul stays on as a gop candidate that's exactly what will happen..
going independent is the only way.. imo paul can't win the gop nod for pres..

- Even in the miraculous event that RP were to win the GOP nomination, then the Presidency, I don't think he could "save us" or anything. He might be able to make the collapse a little less horrible in terms of reining-in the jackbooted thugs somewhat...

- It is possible that, being denied the GOP nomination, RP will run (virtually be drafted) Independent, in which case I think it's entirely possible that he'll come in second, beating Romney and deservedly demoting GOP to Third Party status.

- It's not so much about Ron Paul becoming President to me, as it is about a lot of Americans gravitating toward what he stands for. The better he does, the more I think I'll be participating in a LATOC community of self-respecting individuals, and the less I expect to be occupied with fending-off zombies.

- Okay we all know Ron Paul came in second in the NH Republican Primary...

- Did you hear who came in second in the NH Democratic Primary?

- Also Ron Paul... Who got thousands of votes, despite not being on the ballot!

- Aren't the Republicans always talking about strategy, and how the "middle" swings the general election... Yet the guy they discount as "unelectable" is drawing-off Obama votes from registered Democrats in races he isn't even officially in!

- Clearly, the Republicans don't want to win in 2012.
