My Vendetta = Free Email Forwarding...
.
- Okay, I'm usually content to sit back and watch the various pillars of BAU Cornucopia crumble at their own pace. But one of them has done gone and pissed me off personally, so I'm taking an interest in seeing one particular corporation stumble off the cliff a little bit faster...
- As I mentioned a while back in Post-Cornucopian Living ‹ Livestock & Workstock, we've decided to take advantage the last months of Cornucopia to employ some modern techniques to improving our animal stock before reverting to the 19th Century. Specifically, using artificial insemination to breed our dairy and work animals.
- For horses, AI means chilled (not frozen) semen, which means it has to be collected, shipped, and used in a very short span of hours. It's an expensive and tricky choreography to time it out. Vet calls with ultrasounds, coordination with the stud farm... Everybody did everything just right... Except for FedEx.
- Because Fedex SUCKS!
- Despite us buying their very expensive Express First Overnight shipping to get the stuff from VA to NC, they found a way to dump it in Indianapolis and let it sit there for 24 hours! Oh, and they "suspended" their guarantee for that day as well. So we had to pay them for their incompetence.
- The wife thinks we should start hunting FedEx management for recreational vivisection... But I thought I'd start-off a little lighter, with the http://www.FedExSucks.biz/ website, and work up from there.
- As a result, I now have a full domain's worth of email forwarding addresses I can give away. Basically, they automatically route mail from yourname@FedExSucks.biz to your email address. These addresses can come in handy for public postings, as they're essentially disposable.
- For instance, if OldHorseman@FedExSucks.biz starts drawing a bunch of spam, I can just switch it off without affecting my real email address. So I don't have to worry about posting it here on the forum where it can be trolled.
- If you want one, just let me know...
