Haiti:Putting Waste to Work

Well worth the watch.

I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.

That was impressive.

Re: Haiti:Putting Waste to Work

Please don’t watch this video unless you fancy blond babes speaking enthusiastically about poop. I don’t. This is the island metaphor with a twist, since the neighbouring Dom. Rep have kept their lust forests, while the Haitians watch their good soil run off into the sea. Democracy 0/Dictatorship 1.

There is perhaps a lesson to learn here, like the world being an island? Instead we learn about the poop-mobile. No, not the pope-mobile, the poop-mobile. Running on diesel.

But: You cannot counter severe resource-depletion by micromanaging your own poop.

I’ll say it for you mcgowanjm: We are yeast.

Re: Haiti:Putting Waste to Work

Well my knowledge was improved: poop needs to be composted to 120 degrees for one week in order to be safely used in the fields. I'm assuming that's in Fahrenheit. Useful info.

The poop mobile ran on diesel eh? For Haiti, even a partial step in a better direction is a good move.

BTW, ".....lust forests....." Old Norseman? Besides being a good public speaker, the blonde babe was pretty hot......
