Every Good Prepper Has Redundancies

Megadoom has conveyed to me that he has decided to step down as an administrator of TOA. He informed me around 4pm EST time today. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he finds what he desires in whatever path he chooses.

Templar has been promoted to fill the Administrator position. I am confident in Templars abilities to fill this role as he will bring a stable calm to the table. This is a sad turn of events indeed, but our site is set up to handle such challenges. Early on when I started TOA I brought on two admins in case one wanted to go in other directions. This would ensure a stable transition giving us time to transition in a new administrator. Much time has been given to considering how to avoid matt style blowups where one person has his finger on the red button. We may have admins come and go, but the site and community will always live on. That is what I am here to ensure.

In the interim I am rescinding the new rules that went in to place preventing users from posting uncommented links. Our breaking news section is one of the assets of this forum, and requiring every single post to have a follow up comment will greatly diminish the amount of news we pull in a day.

With that said if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask Templar or the mod staff.

We are having a meeting at 9pm EST that everyone is invited to. It will be held in our chat channel. Just click
chat.htm

Be sure to click no on the security popup

Gnomore

PS Megadoom asked me to delete his account in the PM he sent me when he left. I have shut off his access to the site per his request.

Re: Every Good Prepper Has Redundancies

Thanks for the opportunity to serve the Oil Age Community!

I pride myself on being level headed and look forward to helping our community grow to be able to help and discuss everything pertaining to our current global situtations. I am open to ideas and suggestions, so please don't be scared to personal message me, or send a carrier pigeon.

I look forward to my new responsibilities, and always remember. The Oil Age belongs to no-one in specific, it belongs to everyone here.

so that is midnight mountain time ?
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.

It worked for me 2 days ago when we chatted here. What did I miss, in a few words?

There was a lot of discussion regarding MD's departure, and I raised the idea of a Women's Issues forum. We just chatted about the direction we'd like to see ToA go in, present were: Gnomore, Templar, worriedfloridian, Pamela, and myself.
