guys, I love the old early crocheting and knitting books and I have found THE MOTHER LODE of antique needlework books online, pdf, and FREE!!!!!
I'm so happy I'm doing a little happy dance right now! LOL

Thanks! My wife is going to love these!
Don't tell ME not to prepare because it's "hopeless." If you don't prepare, then be quick about your dying post collapse. Don't be running around trying to scavenge stuff up last minute. Leave that for me and mine during the salvage age.

Pam, I haven't knitted in ages. I went through your post and dayem, I think I got hooked. This stuff is so interesting. I think I'll start with nice coloured socks for my gran kids.

oh cool! I'm so glad you guys liked it.
I am going to get hub to print off that one on shawls for me.
I love looking at them and try to make one every once in a while. LOL
I'd love to have a fine wool shawl like some in the pattern book.
are there any spinners here?
I may start a thread on spinning and weaving. that might be fun.
